Magnolia Class

Welcome to the Magnolia classroom page!

Hi, I’m Becca Rosenfield, your child’s Master Teacher!

I am so excited to be the Master Teacher in the Magnolia Classroom at the Lab School this year!

Since this is my first year at the Lab School, I’d like to take some time to introduce myself. I just moved to Austin from Houston, where I was born and raised. Although, Austin is not a completely new city for me – I completed my undergraduate degree in the HDFS department here at UT Austin and spent several semesters in different classrooms at the Lab School! In Houston I had experiences teaching 3rd grade and Pre-K in HoustonISD. I served as the team lead for Pre-K on my campus, and completed my Master’s in Education from UT Arlington.

I am most passionate about working in early childhood education, and am thrilled to have the opportunity to teach the Magnolia class. I believe very strongly in the power of play and giving children space to create and explore.

I can’t wait to get to know you all over the course of the school year. I’ve included a photo of myself so you and your children can begin to become more familiar with me. I’ve also recorded some Story Time videos to be viewed as we get ready for the start of school. You can find the link below!
