Enrollment in the UT Lab School is open to the greater Austin community. Enrollment is done by application according to the following priorities:
- Date of birth
- Date of application
Preference is given to siblings enrolled in the program or alumni of the program.
Re-enrollment of children currently enrolled in the program takes place on the first Monday in March each year. Open enrollment to the community begins the second Monday of March and continues until all the spots are filled. The program will contact those families who have applied and have been placed on the waiting list.
Complete our online waiting list application (this will open in a new window). There is a non-refundable $35 application fee. You will receive a confirmation e-mail within 48 business hours after your application is processed.
Once you have submitted an application we ask that you schedule a tour of our program. When your child is offered a spot, you are given 24 hours to make a decision. So, it is important that you have visited and are familiar with our program. If we do not hear back from your family within 24 hours after the offer, your child will be removed from the waiting list.
Notify the school by email (email@example.com) of any changes to your contact information so that we may efficiently and accurately reach you should a spot become available. Please do not call the school to update applications.
If you are pregnant or adopting, and you have already submitted a waiting list application, please fill out a birth announcement form after your child has arrived. We will periodically reach out to update any incomplete prenatal applications. If we do not hear from you within 7 days of contact, your application will be removed from the waiting list and you will need to resubmit an application.
